HOUSE HISTORIES: BESPOKE BOOKS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF YOUR HOME/PUB/HOTEL

Launched in 2010, Benchmark House Histories produces professionally researched and written books about the history of a property. We have worked on a wide range of properties from cottages to castles: our first book was on Chilham Castle in Kent. Other subjects include Victorian and Georgian terraces, mills, rectories, thatched cottages, court lodges, medieval hall houses, forges and more. See below for some of our client testimonials.
The process involves researching and writing the history of a property and presenting the resulting material in an individually-designed, hardback book. There is also the option of including professionally taken photographs of the house and garden for a visually-rich presentation.

We have been featured in the Telegraph, Sunday Times, Independent, Tatler, Country Life, House & Garden, Grand Designs, Period Living and on BBC TV South East.

The books make unique gifts for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries (yours or your property's) and retirements, and can be used as a marketing tool in the sale of your property.
